SALON & SPA STAFF NEEDED!!!
at Shewanna in New York
We are opening a dynamic retail space that offers full salon and some spa services and need an equally dynamic team. Trust me, you have NEVER worked in a salon with the type of environment that we are creating. Although we are not opening until early 2010 we want to work with only the best and are taking our time to find just the right staff.
We are two professional women of color with corporate backgrounds and intend to use our business acumen to operate a successful salon/spa. We are looking for the following:
SALON NEEDS:
Salon Manager/Head Stylist (booth/commission options)
We are looking for a Head Stylist to manage the day-to-day operations of the salon and assist us in hiring additional hair stylists, identifying new products/services, and more.
Stylists (commission-based)
- Natural/Braids (twists, locks, etc)
- Perms/Cuts/Weaves, etc
- Domenican hair care
Barber (experience cutting Black, Hispanic, and Caucasian hair)
Receptionist/Assistants
Colorist (specializing in Caucasin/asian hair-care but with ethnic hair coloring experience)
SPA NEEDS:
Estheticians/Spa Manager
- Nail Tech
- Makeup Artist w/extensive skin-care knowledge & training and some sales experience
RETAIL:
Sales Associates with extensive knowledge in one or all of the following areas: hair care, skin/body care, cosmetics, and/or fashion.
Sales Reps
REQUIREMENTS:
NYS license is a must. Certification is a plus but mandatory for the Salon Manager/Head Stylist and Estheticians/Spa Manager. Cosmetology students with working permits or that will have permits by the time we open in early 2010 are needed to support our staff. We can also provide incentives in lieu of regular pay.
